What we collect and why
- Contact form. Name, email, dates (optional) and your message, to answer your enquiry. The form is handled by our hosting provider, Netlify.
- Email and WhatsApp. If you write to us, we receive the details you send, to answer you. These messages pass through your email or WhatsApp provider.
- Bookings. Direct bookings are completed on a booking site operated by Hostex, which processes the booking data under its own privacy policy. The “Book direct” links on this website add parameters (such as the page you came from) to the address, so we can see which pages lead to bookings. They contain no personal data.
- Visit statistics. We plan to use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which, according to Cloudflare, works without cookies or local storage and without fingerprinting visitors.
Legal basis
Answering your messages and handling your booking request is based on your request and on taking steps before a contract (Article 6.1.b GDPR), and on your consent when you send us a message (Article 6.1.a). Visit statistics are based on our legitimate interest in improving the website (Article 6.1.f).
Who receives your data
Our service providers: Netlify (hosting and forms), Google (email), Meta (WhatsApp, if you use it) and Hostex (bookings). Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, it relies on the safeguards the provider offers, such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
For as long as needed to answer your enquiry and, if you book, for the legal retention periods that apply.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and you can object to its processing. Write to moondunesholiday@gmail.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD, aepd.es).
Cookies
This website does not set its own cookies. Some embedded content from third parties loads only if you click on it, and those services may use their own cookies:
- the map on the Contact page (Google Maps),
- the webcam on the Webcam page (in2theBeach).
The video tour is served from this website and does not load a third-party player.
